Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 20, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of BibleTools.io (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
BibleTools.io provides free online tools for reading and studying the Bible, including multiple translations, original-language word study with Strong's concordance, commentaries, doctrinal books, quotes, a liturgical calendar, and a verse-image maker. The Service is provided free of charge. We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or restrict access to all or any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
We do not guarantee that the Service or any stored content will remain available indefinitely. Users are encouraged to maintain their own backups of any content they wish to preserve.
2. Accounts
Some features require an account, which you can create with an email address and password or by signing in with a third-party provider such as Google. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, to create an account. You may delete your account at any time. Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal account information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law, security, fraud prevention, or legitimate operational purposes.
3. Your Content
The Service may let you create and save content such as study sessions, preferences, and verse images (“Your Content”). You retain ownership of Your Content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you.
You are responsible for Your Content and must not store or share anything unlawful or that infringes the rights of others.
To the extent Your Content incorporates third-party copyrighted materials, including Bible translations, such materials remain subject to the rights of their respective owners and applicable licensing restrictions.
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, remove, disable access to, or refuse to display any content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of others.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by scraping, overloading, or circumventing rate limits or security measures;
- Reproduce or redistribute substantial portions of the Service's content in a way that infringes applicable copyrights.
5. Scripture & Third-Party Content
Bible translations, commentaries, books, and quotes made available through the Service are provided from public-domain sources or are used under the terms of their respective copyright holders and licenses. Those works remain the property of their respective owners, and all applicable rights and restrictions continue to apply to them. Trademarks and names referenced on the Service belong to their respective owners.
Certain Bible translations are protected by copyright and are made available through the Service pursuant to licenses, permissions, or other rights granted by their respective copyright holders. Users may not reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, or create derivative works from such translations except as permitted by applicable law or the copyright holder's terms. Users are solely responsible for complying with any copyright notices, attribution requirements, and usage restrictions applicable to specific translations.
The availability of content through the Service does not grant permission to reproduce, distribute, or republish copyrighted materials beyond what is expressly permitted by applicable law or the rights holder. We may impose technical limitations on copying, exporting, sharing, or downloading content to comply with licensing obligations.
The Service may contain links to or content from third parties. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or content of third-party materials.
We do not endorse, warrant, or assume responsibility for any third-party content, products, services, or websites.
We may add, remove, suspend, or modify the availability of any Bible translation, commentary, book, or other content at any time, including as required by licensing agreements or legal obligations.
6. Copyright Complaints
If you believe that content available through the Service infringes your copyright, please contact us at support@bibletools.io with sufficient information to identify the allegedly infringing material and your ownership claim. We will review and respond as appropriate.
Copyright complaints should include sufficient information to identify the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material, contact information for the complainant, and a statement made in good faith that the use is unauthorized.
We reserve the right to remove or disable access to material alleged to be infringing and to terminate accounts of repeat infringers where appropriate.
7. Our Intellectual Property
The Service's software, design, layout, and original materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, educational, ministry, and other lawful uses in accordance with these Terms.
Except for the limited license expressly granted in these Terms, no right, title, or interest in the Service or its content is transferred to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
8. Privacy
We process limited personal data to operate the Service, such as your account details and, where applicable, analytics about how the Service is used. We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content is accurate or complete.
Content generated by artificial-intelligence features may contain errors or inaccuracies and should not be relied upon as authoritative theological, legal, medical, or professional advice.
Use of the Service does not create any pastoral, counseling, fiduciary, denominational, or ministry relationship between you and BibleTools.io or its operators.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BibleTools.io, its operators, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or relating to:

11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BibleTools.io and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) USD $100 or (b) the amount paid by you to us during the twelve months preceding the claim.
12. Force Majeure
BibleTools.io shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, internet outages, labor disputes, governmental actions, or failures of third-party service providers.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional notices or policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and BibleTools.io regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements relating to the Service.
