1Sidan gjorde Jerusalemsbuane Akasja, yngste son hans Joram, til konge etter han. For alle dei eldre sønene hadde vorte drepne av ein herjeflokk som kom til leiren saman med arabarane. Såleis vart Akasja, son til Joram, konge i Juda.
