1तीसरे दिन दावीद एवं उनके साथी ज़िकलाग नगर पहुंचे. इस बीच अमालेकियों ने नेगेव तथा ज़िकलाग पर छापा मारा था. उन्होंने ज़िकलाग पर हमला किया, तथा उसे आग लगा दी.
