1नबी यिर्मयाह ने बेबीलोन में निष्कासित अपने जाति भाई-बन्धुओं के धर्मवृद्धों, पुरोहितों, और नबियों तथा उन सब लोगों को यरूशलेम से एक पत्र लिखा जिनको बेबीलोन का राजा नबूकदनेस्सर बन्दी बना कर यरूशलेम से बेबीलोन ले गया था।
