2) v.2-5 It was a type of something greater - Hebrews 9:23

3) v. 6-7 First tabernacle was inaccessible to the people (only priest could enter, 1 Peter 2:5; Romans 12:1

4) v. 8 The first tabernacle was only temporary -

Hebrews 9:12

Once -- The High Priest entered one day a year, the day of atonement, but on that day it seems he entered twice. First to offer the blood of a bull for himself and his family, and second to offer the blood of a goat for the people. Jesus didn’t have to make an offering for himself, for he was holy and sinless Hebrews 7:26.

Hebrews 9:13

Lev. 16. The High Priest offered the blood of a bull for himself, and then the blood of one of the two goats for the people (the other goat became the "escape" goat, see Lev. 16).

Hebrews 9:14

Purge -- This is "deep" cleansing - inward -, and not only outward.

Hebrews 9:15

New Testament -- Matthew 26:28, Christ’s blood ratifies the N.C. and procures the forgiveness of sins.

Hebrews 9:28

Look -- wait, waiting, "wait eagerly"; "eagerly await"

After the High Priest entered the Most Holy Place, the people awaited his reappearing, cf. Luke 1:21.

His appearing to them meant "salvation", for the H.P. reappearance meant the sin offering had been made.
