THE RESURRECTION NEWS ABOUT JESUS V. 1-12
1)"Now upon the first day of the week," (te de mia ton sabbaton) "Then the -first of the week," of the sabbath, of the seven days of the feast, Mark 16:11; John 20:1. It was the first Lord’s Day of the New Covenant age.
2) "Very early in the morning," (Orthou batheos) "While it was still very early," at early dawn or "dead-dawn," Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2, before sunrise.
3) "They came unto the sepulchre," (epi to mnema elthon) "The came upon the tomb location," the women who had followed Him and ministered to Him, from Galilee, Luke 23:55-56; Mark 15:40-41.
4) "Bringing the spices," (pherousai aromata) "Carrying spices," the sweet spices and ointments they had prepared for His embalming, which never occurred, Luke 23:55; Mark 16:1.
5) "Which they had prepared, and certain others with them." (ha hetoimasen) "Which they had already prepared," after having seen where He had been laid, Mark 15:47; Mark 16:1; Matthew 27:61.
