1בִּשְׁנַת שָׁלוֹשׁ, לְכוֹרֶשׁ מֶלֶךְ פָּרַס, דָּבָר נִגְלָה לְדָנִיֵּאל, אֲשֶׁר־נִקְרָא שְׁמוֹ בֵּלְטְשַׁאצַּר; וֶאֱמֶת הַדָּבָר וְצָבָא גָדוֹל, וּבִין אֶת־הַדָּבָר, וּבִינָה לוֹ בַּמַּרְאֶה׃
