¹In Ramatajim-Zofim, einem Ort im Bergland von Ephraim, wohnte ein Mann namens Elkana. Sein Vater hieß Jeroham, sein Großvater Elihu; Elihu wiederum stammte von Tohu ab, der ein Sohn von Zuf war. Schon die Vorfahren von Elkana hatten im Gebiet von Ephraim gelebt.
